Moth - Venusia

Moth - Venusia
Sitka County, Alaska, USA
May 6, 2010
Size: >1cm
My kids noticed this moth resting on a window. I scanned through the Geometridae photos on the Moth Photographers Group, since that seemed like the most likely family, but I did not notice anything that seemed like a good match.

Moved
Moved from Pearsall's Carpet Moth. Based on more recent BOLD results posted elsewhere, Seems like this more likely to be V. obsoleta.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Looks Like 7429 - Venusia pearsalli
(no rsvp, thanks)
