Identification
Males often overwinter one molt from maturity. See a juvenile male and a mature male below

Range
Range is considered from Vancouver and Victoria, BC., WA, ID, OR, and northern CA.
Remarks
This and another European species (Thanatus vulgaris) are relatively recent immigrants.(1)
