Meadow Moth - Caloreas Meadow Moth - Caloreas

Moved
Moved from Caloreas apocynoglossa.

Out of range for apocynoglossa which is only known from coastal California. Possibly occidentella or one of several new species described in Heppner (2022)(1).

Moved
Moved from Prochoreutis extrincicella.

OK I put some links on the info pages.

Looks like...
It's easy to mix up these two species and amazing that they are not in the same genus.
Caloreas apocynoglossa: Notice the two thin, silvery lines (arcs) inside of the median band. The other images of Prochoreutis extrincicella do not show this feature and all of the BOLD specimens are from the eastern range.

Moved
Moved from Metalmark Moths.

Moved
Moved from Eucosmini.

A Species of Choreutidae
Doesn't quite match anything at MPG. Sent the photo off for an opinion. (no rsvp, thanks)
