Plenty of Blue Dashers around. Are these related? Thanks

You can certainly Frass or move your images.
Moving them to the guide is a great help once you feel they have been correctly identified. The difficult part is knowing if they have been correctly identified!! If you check the guide and the pictures there look exactly like yours, or if the ID has been made by someone you have come to know and trust, then we would say go ahead, Tag and Move them. If it's not right, it is easy to fix things here at BugGuide. An editor can simply Tag and Move them somewhere else.

Frassing is more difficult. Sometimes contributors are their own worst critics and want to frass their image because a hair is out of place. Other contributors can't seem to see anything wrong with their posts, even when the editors can't tell if it is animal, vegetable, or mineral! After a while you'll get a feel for what's frassable. You can just sometimes stroll through the images in Frass and see what is there. We would suggest putting on your contributor page that you are not yet comfortable with frassing but are comfortable with editors making that decision. That will help an editor when he or she is trying to decide.

It is fine to use BugGuide for identification help. That's clearly one of its purposes. But if you capture an image of something nice, even if you already know what it is, it would be great to post that to BugGuide too. We would love to see it, and it would likely be a good addition to the guide pages.

Thanks for posting!

Want to say Thank you for the always so reliable help with ids. After following a couple links and doing some reading,a couple questions. I'm not knowledgeable about bugs. I've never frassed or moved any pics ever posted. Feel this is better left to others. Should I be doing this? And is it o.k. that I just use the site for id help? It helps me keep pics sorted and placed in named folders. The information on this site is much appreciated.

Thanks much. Another properly named folder. This is a great educational and informative site.

Not a dragonfly
This is a damselfly, Suborder Zygoptera. I'm sure someone will be able to ID to species--this is a great shot.
