You'll have to excuse what appears to be a marauding march fly (Bibio sp.) in this shot... This was the only image I had that showed the abdominal markings of the wasp clearly. In reality, the march fly was just a fellow insect that I rescued at the same time and it was merely climbing over the wasp in this shot and definitely NOT trying to make a meal of it. (*grin*)
