I saw these in this same location last year. Some frames are wide angle so you can get an idea of what the plant (host?)looks like. In some cases the gall is in a central part of a leaf. It will be apparent on both sides of the leaf. In other cases it is on the edge. In those cases the edge seems eaten away. Perhaps some secondary parasite or disease is taking advantage of access to the interior of the plant leaf.
