Promethea or something else? - Hyalophora euryalus

This moth was found at my husband's wood mill. It could have come in with a load of wood, or it could be a local species.
I think it looks like a Promethea moth, but the antenna look like a male and the coloring looks more like a female.
Is it a Promethea or something else?

Ceanothus Silkmoth, Hyalophora euryalus, yes that looks alot like ours. Ours is a bit darker, but the general shape and markings are close to identical!

You mentioned "darker"....Very good observation!

Following a tangent along the Pacific coast northward from Baja to BC, there is an overall increase in moisture/precip and a decrease in temps. As you approach n. Calif./Oregon up into Washington state & B.C., Canada, the euryalus populations also tend to become darker (typically more brown than red - coastal populations west of the Sierras and Cascades considered). However, that's not to say that you can't find exceptionally colorful individuals in any part of the range,... and the converse can also be true (browner specimens from more southern localities are not unusual).
