ant mimic--broad headed bug nymph? - Nabis subcoleoptratus

ant mimic--broad headed bug nymph? - Nabis subcoleoptratus
rural, Dallas County, Iowa, USA
May 15, 2010
Size: 4.5 mm
I found this bug crawling on a stem of grass that was growing out of the mound of the ant Formica exsectiodes . It is clearly an ant mimic, although it does not particularly resemble F. exsectiodes . I saw no direct interactions with the ants, unfortunately.
