Size: approx. 1 inch
Found this little fellow while walking alound the river this evening. At first I though it was a roach, but while cropping the photos I thought maybe rove beetle.

Seems that I am on the wrong side of the country for the country for this one. Would parcoblatta be a better guess.

 
no it wouldn't -- yours doesn't look like Parcoblatta at all
there are 4 eastern Cryptocercus spp.

Cryptocercus [capital C!!] includes one western species, yes
"images for PA" -- you're right, there wasn't any; means nothing, though: it's a rather uncommon roach, so your contribution is really appreciated
