spike shouldered stink bug - Picromerus bidens

spike shouldered stink bug - Picromerus bidens
Dixville, Coos County, New Hampshire, USA
August 30, 2004
Suggestions on genus?

Simple suggestion, but...
European species Picromerus bidens looks virtually identical to this specimen. The genus might well be the same, but who knows?

Picromerus bidens
Looks like you're right. Nearctica lists only one species of Picromerus, and that's P. bidens. It's identical to this picture from Europe.
