Found on yellow flowers in a weedy field. Can't seem to find a match for this one, despite looking in several families... Help!

Moved from Beetles. Thanks Blaine and v! Looks like a first from CA in BG. Maybe the spotted pronotum is a California variant?

I feel stumped on this! O. atra has many color forms but havent seen any with a central dark macula on the pronotum, however!
