Ladona deplanta
Looks like a female Blue Corporal to me. The clear streak through the dark spots on the wing and the pale yellow polygons on the side of thorax with those on 7 and 8 being brighter or clearer (seen better in your second shot) are described in Dragonflies of North America for this species.

Now I remember. I was told what it was, but that day is all a blur. We were all catching bugs for the researchers from the Academy of Natural Sciences and they were IDing bugs on the fly, and grabbing the good ones for the American Entomological Society collection (I think). They're doing a long term study with the New Jersey Conservation Foundation at the preserve.
