Size: small
I was asked to add this insect after having it identified, as there doesn't seem to be a guide image from this species in Texas and/or there weren't many pictures of this species.

Are you thinking Lycochoriolaus lateralis?
The guide page is here and you are correct, there are no images yet from Texas.
