Wolf Spider - Hogna antelucana - male

Wolf Spider - Hogna antelucana - Male
Norman, Cleveland County, Oklahoma, USA
May 4, 2010
Size: ~15mm?
A beautiful Lycosid found in my ceramics class a while back. I know little about wolf spiders... could this belong to the Hogna genus? Male? Female? Mature?

A top-down view showing the markings on the cephalothorax and abdomen.

Wolf Spider
I find the wolf spiders to be very hard to ID. If this is a Hogna, a picture of the underside of the spider can be very helpful for ID. There is a picture of a H. antelucana in Spiders of the Eastern United States that looks very similar to yours.

Hogna sp. would be my guess.
