Moth - Nymphalis antiopa

Moth - Nymphalis antiopa
Azle, TX, Parker County, Texas, USA
May 22, 2010
Size: 2"
We were fortunate to watch the day this guy began his cocoon and shed some of his skin. Wish I would have taken photos of him in that stage. One day about 10 days later (I think) my husband saw him/her on the outside. I took a couple of fast photos as it began shaking violently...and then it was off!
