Moth - Ecliptopera silaceata

Moth - Ecliptopera silaceata
Sitka County, Alaska, USA
May 24, 2010
My son noticed this moth resting on the side of our house. I brought it in to photograph it inside a mesh pavilion, but there was a bit of a shadow created by the zipper that is shading the moth somewhat. I think this moth is one of the most striking I've seen here yet. Looking through the photos on the Moth photographers group, I came up with Hodges#7213a Ecliptopera silaceata.
