Moved from Bee Flies.

Not an ID, just an observation.
It resembles Hemipenthes sinuosa.

From the Guide: black area of wing has irregular sinuous (wavy) border with a small rounded blob near the apex - a distinguishing feature; abdomen, thorax, and head black or very dark with no banding or other obvious markings

Just something to consider while waiting for an expert.

Appreciate the ID and information,
Ken and Andy.
