Congrats, Ron! Thanks for making the ID, Eric!

Great! Nannocyrtopogon irvine
Great! Nannocyrtopogon irvinei Ron. The male face has large bumps and a wavy ridge along the edge, which are covered with a velvety tomentum (reflection of ridge can be seen in fly #4). I'll try to submit a high-mag photo of the head of a preserved specimen later.

Thanks, Eric

Yay! And it's named after my town!
I'd love to see that face shot, particularly after seeing the one you posted for Harsi.

Definitely a Nannocyrtopogon
Definitely a Nannocyrtopogon Ron; I need a bit more magnification of the head to try to get to species.

Wonderful, Eric
I'll email the files to you. Separately, I'll try for a reshoot this weekend, but doubt I can get much closer.
