Moved from Malachiinae.

Melyrid 1
This is a female Hypebaeus species. Without associated males it is not possible to put names on the females. Hypebaeus are found all over the US, frequently associated with grasses under oaks, maples and other trees. Adults can also be found on the trees and seem most common at open areas of forest borders.
