Formicinae: Camponotus
This is a male, most likely of Camponotus pennsylvanicus, the common large black carpenter ant. Readily recognized as a male by its small head vs. massive thorax, and visible genitalia at the tip of the abdomen.

hmmm
Small brain and large genitalia....

Alate ant.
Can't tell you much more than that, unfortunately. I'm sure someone else will be able to further the ID.

Looks like a carpenter ant to me.

I think its Camponotus but I am no expert with hymenoptera :)
