Microdon

Microdon
Harms Woods Forest Preserve, Glenview, Cook County, Illinois, USA
May 29, 2010
Size: ~9mm
We're thinking this is Microdon. It was hanging around an ant mound. James Trager found one at Harms a couple of years ago. We don't know if it's the same species. Would we likely only have one species? James, did you get the identification for that one?
