Range
Nova Scotia to Florida, west to Mississippi, north to Manitoba
Exyra fax is more northerly in distribution (Newfoundland to Georgia)
E. ridingsii and E. semicrocea are restricted to southeastern states
Habitat
bogs and damp areas where pitcherplants grow
Food
larvae feed on leaves of pitcherplants (Sarracenia spp.)
