Wasp? - Evania appendigaster

Wasp? - Evania appendigaster
Lafayette, Lafayette Parish, Louisiana, USA
June 2, 2010
Size: about 1.2cm
This wasp-like creature was found inside a home, moving about a screened window making movements like a wasp. But its hind legs look like a katydid, and its body appears truncated, compared to many of the thread-waisted wasps.
Any help with an ID would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
b

Moved from ID Request.

Evaniidae
It is a parasitic wasp of cockroach eggs. Guess what that means...haha. It's probably the species Evania appendigaster.
