Laccophilus sp. - Laccophilus maculosus
Medford, (~25 miles east of Philadelphia, PA) Burlington County, New Jersey, USA

Size: 5.6mm
I just love the markings on these water beetles. Laccophilus sp., looks like L. maculosus?

fished from the large rain "pond" in the front yard. The pond formed after two days of hard rain and was gadually gone in about two weeks. I guess these beetles come and go quickly.
