Aphid eater 6/1/2010 - Syrphus
Schuylkill Nature Center, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, USA
Unfortunately all three flies emerged during my absence and were pretty dead and dessicated when I got home. I guess that this is Syrphus as the one I collected last year from the same shrub but I would like confirmation.

I agree with Syrphus and would place it there.
Disclaimer: I'm not at my best with dead flies. There's a very remote possibility it's Epistrophe.
