She's(?) Ready For Her(?) Closeup... - Sympetrum corruptum

This dragonfly perches on a dead Matilija Poppy (Romneya coulteri stem that sticks up through a Wild Buckwheat bush (Eriogonum fasciculatum) in my front yard, at an elevation of 3 or 4 feet above the ground. Lots of flying insects frequent this area, especially green-bottle flies (Lucilia, possibly L. sericata). It was very tolerant of my presence- I got within a few inches before it flew out of reach. As soon as I stepped back from the perch, it landed in the same place and resumed waiting for prey.

It seems to be the same individual as in this image:

This is a migratory species, so I suspect it's just wintering here.
