Rhinoceros Beetle - Aphonus

Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
June 6, 2010
Size: 9.7mm
I found this beetle running across my front walk. Is there any chance of this getting to species?

I dont have a key handy...
but of the six U.S. species, three are covered by Harpootlian (2001) in the SC treatment. Of those three, only A. castaneus is under 12 mm (regularly).

Not too many choices
So there might be a chance of finding out which species this is.
