Spider - Tibellus oblongus

Spider - Tibellus oblongus
Federal Way, King County, Washington, USA
May 29, 2004
Found on this leaf. No web anywhere near. Early in the afternoon, about 1ish on a very warm day, just after a shower.

Moved
Moved from Slender Crab Spiders.

According to comments here and here, T. oblongus should be the only species in this genus from the western portion of Washington.

Tibellus sp.
This is Tibellus sp., a crab spider in the Philodromidae (formerly part of the Thomisidae). Nice shot:-)

I have found this spider in grass
I've seen these stetched along a blade though this is obviously not in grass. I don't believe it's a wolf spider but it's probably closely related.
