Size: ~1/4 inches
In the dunes of Jacob Riis Park there are these well camouflaged little beetles on the sand. Each has a slight variation in its markings.

Nope. Not on Monday. We'd made such a day of it on Saturday and having not worn sunscreen I was red as a lobster! :)
