Size: 1 inch body
Attempted to obtain other images, but the animal scurried deep into the red-berry holly, terror incognita for me. Image "doctored" to bring out details. The clear wing and body cover leads me to compare to other images herein.

Yes!
I have never seen one of these, but this tentative ID prompted me to dig up old references confirming that these Atlantic Coast cockroaches (initially described as C. plocea, subsequently synonymized with C. texensis) are the same species as those found in Texas. My mistaken belief in the distribution of this species confounded my identification of another recent submission in your area. Thank you both for calling my attention to this!
