Clark's Day Sphinx - Proserpinus clarkiae

In Westwood - elevation 5100ft, Lassen County, California, USA
May 27, 2007

I found this moth on the side of the house facing south. The weather had been rather cold and snowy the previous day. The tatered look of this moth suggest a moth that may have over-wintered.
