Dragonfly

Dragonfly
Konza Prairie, Riley County, Kansas, USA
June 5, 2010
I really have no clue but the closest I could find were:
Dromogomphus spinosus
Cordulegaster diadema

Right Marty
It is a Clubtail; but probably not a Dromogomphus based on the thoracic markings. It is likely one of the Gomphurus Group Clubtails; maybe the Plains Clubtail (G. externus). A close up of the claspers would be necessary for me to species.

Eyes separated
It looks like the eyes are separated, so that would put it in the Gomphus group, but I'm far from qualified.
