Agonum belleri (Hatch 1933)
named after Samuel Beller
Size
6-7.5 mm total length(1)
Identification
According to Lindroth(1):
3rd antennal segment with short pubescence (at least apically)
Alternate elytral intervals (1,3,5, etc.) with with seta-bearing punctures (clearly visible in lateral view)
Head and pronotum without hairs
Brilliant metallic, shiny, with antennae and legs black
Wings highly reduced (< one elytron in width and length)

Pacific Northwest (Queen Charlotte Is. to nw.OR)(2)
Habitat
from sea level to high elevations in acidic Sphagnum bogs in forested areas, particularly floating Sphagnum mats adjacent to open water. (Species profile)
