Assassin Bug Egg Mass -
Zelus
Edgewood Preserve, Suffolk County, New York, USA
June 9, 2010
Size: about 10 mm across
I'm assuming that this is some sort of egg mass. Was on the bottom of a Quercus ilicifolia leaf in a Pitch Pine/oak barrens.

This almost certainly is
Z. luridus
, but
Z. tetracanthus
is found in New York as well.
