Moth - Pheosia rimosa

Moth - Pheosia rimosa
New Paltz, Ulster County, New York, USA
August 26, 2009
Lepidopteran biodiversity in New Paltz seems huge to me. I've documented at least 50 species in the past 2 years.

7922 - Pheosia rimosa
I've gone past the 1,000 species mark for moths in my yard in Bowie, MD. Where diversity is good, as appears to be the case for both of us, we can probably look forward to 1,250 or more species over a period of years of intensive searching (attraction to light or trapping).
