I found this moth at night crawling around the floor and near my desk in lamp light.

...this here is a Clymene moth (Haploa clymene).

Looks like it to me, someone will come along and confirm/deny- see - the info page for Haploa clymene says "Bold cross pattern makes this moth easy to identify."
