im pretty confident that this is a
Banded Sphinx - Hodges#7865 (Eumorpha fasciatus) altho there is nothing in the guide that matches color, i went thru the sphinx at
http://www.silkmoths.bizland.com/Txsphinx.htm and it appaers to be the only sphinx in tx with 8 of those dot things down the side, and it says theres a yellow/pink form, which this sure quaifies as a yellow pink form, its beautiful!
