Diving beetle - Celina imitatrix

Diving beetle - Celina imitatrix
Chantilly, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
June 12, 2010
Size: ~ 5 mm
Attracted to light at night. My best guess is Celina angusta(1).

If size is indeed 5 mm...
it can only be one of 2 choices: C. imitatrix (Young) or C. slossoni (Mutchler), both reported from Virginia. C. angustata is much smaller (3-4 mm). The elytral punctation looks rather coarse and irregular which made me decide for the former.

Moved
Moved from Beetles. I would say Celina is correct, but I don't know group well enough to place further.
