lightbulb mixture

lightbulb mixture
Hudson, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
January 11, 2006
There are some anobiids, one tiny coccinellid, some hydrophylids, and a few others I thought I recognized in this batch.

Beatriz Moisset has suggested unlinking the images in this set and including them instead as thumbnails:

Moved
Moved from Frass.

Frassed
Moved from Beetles.

Hydrophilids
2-3 Helophorus and/or Hydrochus; the one lying belly-up on the upper left looks like something from Enochrinae. That's alot of beetles for one lightbulb!

Hydrochus
:-)

Anobiid to the left is . . .
. . . probably Petalium sp., the right one belongs in Xyletininae, the one in the center will be a Caenocara.

A weevil is seen, and also three Scolytids. That´s all I can see . . .

cheers, Boris

Thank you, Boris.
I'll refer to your remarks when (if) I get around to shooting these individually. For now this collection will remain at the order level as a demonstration project.
