...based on the following pers. comm. from M.A. Muegge: "only one genus and one species has been described from AZ and it is
Evalljapyx hubbardi
. Interestingly, Silvestri redescribed the species after examining the type from Arizona, but renamed it
sonoranus
. I'm not sure how he could do this based on the Zoological code of nomenclature giving the law of priority. So, I use the 1st described name for the type which was described by Cook in 1899. I have collected in the southeast and south central mountains of AZ and this is the only species I have encountered. However, one can't rule out the possibility this specimen represents an undescribed species"

It was pretty large, I can't remember exactly. It is killing me that I can't find the specimen among my backlog of vials...
