Instar - Euscirrhopterus gloveri - 9307 - Euscirrhopterus gloveri
Brown Canyon, Cochise County, Arizona, USA
August 3, 1996
a digitalized 35mm slide taken during the NABA convention in 1996

Thought I'd mention
that the plant it is feeding on is Talinum whitei in the Portulacaceae.

David, How are you on the southwestern Cucullia?
We could use some serious help on them and their look-alikes here

Very little experience
trying to sort them out. Not sure if I can help or not, but I can try. No promises :0)

My experience with Euscirrhopterus and some others comes from growing the plants they like to eat (which really annoys me, even though the moths are way cool too).

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

Looks to us like one of the Euscirrhopterus
in the guide here. Nice find!
Click on instar image at Arizona here and see what you think.

caterpillar
Thanks, it looks just like Euscirrhopterus gloveri. What is red on one Bugguide image is more orange on mine; other than that they look the same.
Thanks again
