Speared Dagger Larva - Acronicta hasta
Town of Plymouth, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, USA
August 4, 1993
5th instar larva turned very black; yellow and red design diminishes to a narrow dark red line. On August 6, 1993 formed pupa at the end of a branch in soil. Pupa was covered with a soft, silk-like covering, covered with dirt. Spent winter in refrigerator. Eclosed June 10, 1994.
