The Herald larva - Scoliopteryx libatrix

July 12, 2000
Unidentified larva found eating Willow (Salix. spp.). It was unknown until the adult eclosed on July 31, 2000. I had been waiting eight years to see another adult Herald, after finding one in Sheboygan County on August 4, 1992. The photo I was able to take of that moth was horrible...specimen escaped.
