Something - Parcoblatta virginica - female

Something - Parcoblatta virginica - Female
Shirley, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
June 17, 2010

Based on the location of this individual, the size of the tegmen, and the “hazelnut” color (as opposed to the “shining blackish” of P. uhleriana), I believe this to be Parcoblatta virginica. This is an adult female, and I do not know of any characters that can definitively identify the females of this species, but I feel comfortable enough that I am moving this to the species-level page.
