Synonyms and other taxonomic changes
Leraut (2012) recognized sinensellus as a subspecies (1).
Range
Currently Eastern North America. Introduced from Eurasia.
Food
Larvae feed on Phragmites australis.
Remarks
Sclerocona acutellus was first reported in the United States from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, and Rhode Island by Wagner et al. (2003) (1).
