Remarks
Xanthippus is a genus made up of variable populations that west from the Rockies can look a bit different in every valley and on every mountain range, and they can be very confusing. Genera Agymnastus, Cratypedes, & Sticthippus are closely related, should probably be included within Xanthippus, and species in those genera should be checked as well when unsure about a specimen that looks like it may be in Xanthippus.
