I know, I know, I should have measured it...Body length roughly 25 mm? Slightly smaller than "average" for cicadas in my experience.

There are several small Tibicen species in that region also.

However, I think this is a D. swalei. The infuscations, though paler, and the overall body coloration are strongly suggestive!

If you ever come a cross dead or dying examples, closer examination of the actual specimen(s) would be very helpful.
