Argyrodes projiciens, female - Rhomphaea projiciens - female

Argyrodes projiciens, female - Rhomphaea projiciens - Female
Lake Tawakoni State Park, Hunt County, Texas, USA
November 8, 2007
Size: TBD (>3mm)
det. by Hank Guarisco (Adjunct Curator of Arachnids, Sternberg Museum of Natural History, Fort Hays State University)

A. projiciens was moved to Rhomphaea in 2004.

I believe Hank has this specimen and will update the size when I hear from him. The date listed is the date I photographed the spider, not the date it was collected. I'll update that too.

Hank informs me that the spine at the apex of the abdomen is unique to this species. Spiders of the Eastern United States mistakenly labels a picture of Rhomphaea projiciens as Rhomphaea fictilium (p. 105).
