I'll continue to make mistakes along the way, but I'm learning as I go!

These guys are among my favorites, but id. can be hard!....and to date, the available info is like a shot gun blast. I'm hoping that BG will eventually be a much more suitable site for cicada id and appreciated by all.

Have you reviewed any of the info guides under the Tibicen or Cacama species yet?
If you get a chance, please let me know what you think.

Apparently there are two(?) common species here: Cacama valvata and C. dissimilis. I don't know how to tell the two apart (and they might be one species).

These cicadas are very numerous at C C Preserve.
