Size: ~1 cm diameter
Lone gall on trunk of sapling of Shagbark Hickory (Carya ovata) planted in grassy field at Brenton Arboretum. Gall was elevated on short pedestal.

Moved from Unidentified Galls. Probably P. caryaecaulis, but Phylloxera galls as described by Felt (1) are not clearly distinct from one another.
